5.0/10

My stay at The Franklin London was a mixed experience. The hotel's location in Knightsbridge was fantastic, allowing easy walks to nearby attractions. However, my family's room was less than optimal, with air conditioning issues that required us to relocate. While the staff were friendly, there were some service hiccups that diminished the experience a bit. Overall, it's an opulent hotel with beautiful decor but with room for improvement in certain areas. 🌟🏨

I loved my room with its luxurious bedding and stylish decor, but my family's room had air conditioning problems. The furnishings felt a bit dated in places.

The staff were warm and welcoming, yet the check-in was clunky at times, and there were some communication lapses regarding service requests.

The dining experience was excellent, with good food that felt almost Michelin-level. However, the bar area could use more seating options.

The hotel offered a range of amenities, including a cozy bar and lovely garden. Room service was high quality, but I noticed the lack of tea and coffee facilities in my room.

My stay at The Franklin was overall really good, highlighted by spacious and beautifully decorated rooms along with an excellent location close to major attractions. The dining experience was a treat with great breakfast options, though I found the lighting in the room a bit dim. The hospitality offered by the staff was amazing, making me feel welcomed throughout my entire stay. 🌟

The executive suite I stayed in was absolutely stunning, featuring luxurious bedding and a large soaking tub. However, I found the additional bed in the room to be excessively soft, which might not suit everyone's preference.

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. They even provided great recommendations for local attractions and dining options.
Location

Situated in a quiet residential area, the hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of attractions like Harrods and the Victoria and Albert Museum, making it easy to explore London.

Breakfast was a treat with fresh pastries and a hot menu—my poached eggs with crispy bacon were delicious! The dinner options were equally impressive, reflecting a high quality that felt Michelin-worthy.

The facilities, including the gym and charming bar area, offered a pleasant retreat after a day of exploration. The private garden was a lovely escape, adding to the relaxing feel of the hotel.

My stay at The Franklin London was mostly enjoyable, with standout friendly staff and an ideal location for exploring Kensington. However, there were some drawbacks like the limited storage in the room and occasional lapses in room service. Overall, it was a good experience, though a few improvements would make it truly really good.

Rooms
7.0
I stayed in a Deluxe room that was nicely decorated but had less storage than I would have liked, making it a bit challenging with bags. The comfortable bed and bright bathroom were highlights, though.
Service
8.0
The staff were super friendly and made me feel at home right from the check-in. They were attentive, but I did encounter some issues with housekeeping that could've been handled better.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is spot on, within walking distance to South Kensington and a lot of nearby attractions. It was a breeze getting around, which I really appreciated.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast was excellent with a good variety, and I loved the dining area overlooking the gardens. Dinner at the Michelin-starred restaurant was particularly fantastic, though service at times was inconsistent.
Facilities

The hotel offers several nice facilities, but there were some hiccups with room service and not enough power outlets in my room. I liked the lounge area but wished it had more ambiance.

Overall, I had a lovely stay at The Franklin. The staff was super friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. However, the dining experience was a bit pricey and not always the best value. Despite some hiccups with air conditioning and some confusing charges at checkout, I'd say it was a pretty solid stay overall.

Rooms
8.0
The room I stayed in was spacious and beautifully furnished, but the dark decor made it feel a bit gloomy at times. Still, it had everything I needed and was very clean.
Service
9.0
The service was impressive, from the very start when they offered me a coffee upon arrival to their prompt attention throughout my visit. Although there was a bit of confusion regarding charges on my bill, the staff handled it as best they could.
Location
9.0
I absolutely loved the location! It was in a charming neighborhood with easy access to restaurants and shops nearby. Plus, getting to the underground was just a short walk away.
Dining
7.0
The restaurant had some lovely food, but I did find it to be on the pricier side for what was offered. The breakfast was great, though, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the bar area.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel's facilities were nice, with room service options, a cozy bar, and even a little private garden to relax in. But I did experience issues with the air conditioning, which struggled overnight.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Franklin, mainly because of the fantastic location and the beautiful decor. The staff were incredibly friendly, which made me feel welcomed. However, I did experience some delays with room service and my room was smaller than I expected, lacking the promised garden view. Overall, I felt the experience was enjoyable but had some areas that could be improved.

Rooms
7.0
My room was beautifully decorated with an art deco style, but I found it slightly small and I couldn't see any garden from my window. It was comfortable but I expected a more spacious experience.
Service

The staff were friendly and nice, treating me as a friend rather than just a guest. However, I encountered long wait times for food service during breakfast which was quite inconvenient.
Location
